MCN Mummies Admin have a relaxed attitude towards forum moderation based on the principle that everyone using the forum will be left to their own devices and treated as an adult until they provide sufficient evidence to prove otherwise, which will cause us to then take action.
The rules and policies outlined below are in place to protect the community as a whole and some leeway will be given in SOME areas in keeping with our relaxed moderation policy. However once you enter one of the areas mentioned below you best tread carefully as they are the types of things that will get the moderators and admins involved and may result in your expulsion from the forums. As always if in any doubt please feel free to ask one of the moderators or admins for some help.
The first list of rules below are "generic" rules that apply to MCN Mummies forum as a whole. These can be generally bundled under the heading of Netiquette, basically things you do or don't do to be a good citizen on the internet generally and on forums specifically. Below this are some more "specific" rules for MCN Mummies. These are rules that apply to these forums specifically and deal with unique features or activities that take place on the forums. The specific MM Rules take precedence where something is covered by both rules.
General Rules
In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules listed below. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact one of the moderators or admins.
General Rules of Conduct
* This is a community, so debating and discussion is to be expected (and appreciated) but we hold a zero tolerance policy for personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
* Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such. Likewise, multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
* Spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, visitor messages, blog comments, picture comments and private message systems to spam other members.
* Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts, preferably at least 24 hours.
* We reserve the right to disallow posts or links to sites that are deemed inappropriate. The admin team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
* Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. Sharing accounts is also not allowed. One account, one person. Violating this result will result in permanent banning from the forums.
* We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice, as well as terminate the account of the person posting them.
* You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.
* You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests without prior approval of the admin team.
* All links posted must be the actual, valid link for the page you are intending the visitor to land on. No shortened URLs (tinyurl.com, snip.url, etc.) will be allowed, neither will cloaked URLs that appear to go to one page and then redirect to another.
* English Posting only. Foreign language posts will be removed.
* Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
* We also reserve the right to remove and ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules.
Advertising Services and Solicitation
* We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any unrelated products, services, funds or donations. Non-text advertising and soliciting in signatures is also prohibited. This includes affiliate links.
Signatures
* Linking to a commercial product/service is fine, provided it is not an affiliate program link.
* Promotional text for a commercial product or service is ok, provided there is no pricing or "SALE!" hype.
* A link and promotional text for a site that is not commercial and does not contain product(s) and/or service(s) is allowed, provided the site does not violate MM standards. The Admin Team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
* Duplicate links to the same base URL in a signature are not allowed.
Avatars
* Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.
MCN Mummies Specific Rules
Any rules listed here that cover the same situations as above will take precedence.

Signatures
Images in signatures are permitted, however single image size is restricted to no more than 700 x 200.
Advertising your business is permitted with a single undecorated text-link. No banners or image based advertising is permitted for basic members.
MarketPlace / (Buy/Sell/Swap) forums
These forums are monitored, however any trading done in the MM MarketPlace forums is strictly between the parties involved.
As always in any dealings on the Internet and anything involving money or goods in general -- Caveat Emptor (Let the Buyer Beware)
Please be aware of who you are trading with, take note of their board participation, post counts and whether they've done any trades before via the feedback forum. Whilst this is by no means foolproof it can help to establish the bonafides of the parties involved.
In the long standing tradition of Murphy's Law, anything that can go wrong will, from time to time. The first port of call, for all parties, if this happens is communication. Honest and open communication between all the involved parties is the simplest and easiest way to smooth over any hassles that may occur from time to time.
The Staff (Admins & Mods) at MM don't have time to closely monitor every transaction that takes place, but, if notified of a problem, we will do our best to help facilitate a peaceful and happy resolution for all parties involved but as stated previously in the end the transaction is between whatever parties are involved and MM3
wll not take responsibilities for transactions gone wrong.
Regardless of the outcome of the this the dispute is NOT to be taken onto the public forums. The only place that it is permissible to post about is in the feedback forum in line with the feedback rules and guidelines.
If any forum members are involved in repeated "incidents" in their MarketPlace dealings we reserve the right to disallow them access to the MarketPlace
Review Forums
We encourage our users to post reviews of products and of the various businesses customer service, whether they are good or bad. Please only comment on the particular product and/or service and avoid any personal attacks or general attacks against the business. Also, only post your direct personal experiences, not hearsay and not what happened to "a friend".
Retailers & Manufacturers will very soon have the option to post under specially marked "Representative" accounts allowing them to respond to any praise or criticism officially. If you are a retailer or manufacturer and would like to be recognised as such and you have permission to respond on behalf or your organisation in a public forum then please keep an eye out for the upcoming announcement of the new account types.
Conclusion
Although the administrators and moderators of MCN Mummies will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author. The owners of MCN Mummies will never be held responsible for the content of any message.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
The MCN Mummies Forum Staff reserves the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
We reserve the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of this community.
